This is a common limiting belief.
I used to think I needed a product or service, too. After all, you have to sell something to make money. But, whoever said it needed to be your product or service?
In my book, The Code of The Heroic Self, I outlined the formula for how I monetize my Character Journey.
I'm not an affiliate marketer, but within 6 months of making this shift to monetize my Character Journey, i.e. "getting paid to become my best self," I became a top affiliate for 3 different companies.
I recently presented at ClickFunnels' Platinum Affiliate Mastermind.
Everybody was amazed.
Others presented, too. They had these really complex methods of promotion. Then I presented: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. They said, "But what else do you do...?"
I said, nothing. That's it.
Not having a product or service is actually the fastest way to start collecting income because you don't have the responsibility of running the actual business.
By monetizing my Character Journey, I just collect checks.

Instead, they say, "Who reads all that shit?"
"Nobody's gonna read all that shit!"
"It's too long."
Of course, I could be wrong about you, and maybe you just scrolled to the bottom and this is the first thing on the page you're reading.
But I doubt it.
You're here, and reading this, for a reason.
Probably because you 100% know that you're not stupid, but also, you know that your current approach, which is inferior or maybe non-existent, isn't getting the job done.
So, which is it?
1) Are you stupid?
Or 2) do you just have a limiting belief that needs to be overcome?
The first one, I can't help you with.
The second one, I can.

I have ZERO patience for stupid people, so please, if you are stupid or aren't willing to commit yourself to mastering a craft, do not waste my time or your money. Doing so would not be best for either of us. In my book, The Code of The Heroic Self, I talk specifically about the 'Committed vs. Interested' person. People who are just interested in shit never really achieve much. Because they lose interest as soon as the work gets hard. The committed, on the other hand, when shit gets hard, they refocus and work harder, doing what they know is demanded of them. So, if you're one of those Interested-types, there are plenty of shiny objects out there to satiate your short attention-span, but it ain't here.

My Spouse Doesn't Support Me!
Can you blame her?...him?
How much have you spent on buying other programs?
How many promises have you made...
About achieving success?
A higher income?
More time-freedom?
A better life?
To date, how many of those promises have you delivered on?
Do you understand what they see?
This is your track record.
You are a liar.

Who does?...Clients SUCK.
Doing client-work is peasant-work where you trade time for money.
Client-work is the opposite of leverage.
Further, a client-based business has much lower margins because, unless you're doing the work, the overhead is much higher.

Our answer is "No!"
Because we don't want clients!
We're happy to refer that seller to an agent-relationship of ours. But we hate client work. It sucks.
And while our investment business put $2.3 million of profit in the coffer, in the first 15 months. Had we accepted clients, we probably could have netted another $500K.
But again... Life & Business by design!
Freedom?
Sanity?
This gets back to making sure your Model is designed appropriately, based on your endgame.
If you like being a Slave, fine, design it around client-work.
More clients = More work.
Trading time for money. No time-freedom.
That SUCKS!!
But, of course, you already know that. And if you're sick of it, then let's design it differently.
FROM controlled TO control.
Years back, I did a lot of client work as a copywriter. At first, it was great. Exciting. I collected big fees and got paid a 3-5% royalty on back-end sales. I was young. I didn't have kids. I worked 60-70 hours per week. I enjoyed a high income. But when I had kids and took on less clients, my income dropped. Further, I hadn't built any assets for myself. All the assets I'd built were owned by my clients. They collected 40-70% margins on every sale. I collected 3-5%. I made them rich. To the point, they could collect automated profits, while almost every dollar I collected required me to trade time for money. This seemed stupid. So, I changed it. For example, let's look at what happened with Covid.
Gyms.
Restaurants.
Etc.
Overnight, were forced to close.
Worse, over the next 12-months, they were mandated to stay closed. This caused many of these entrepreneurs and business owners to reach for a life-raft.
They were kicked out of the boat with no life jacket, at no fault of their own, and not allowed to get back on the boat they were just kicked off.
They fought. And kicked.
And swam.
And treaded water, for as long as they could.
Entering into a state of panic and desperation, they started reaching, to grab, any life-raft they could find. Some transitioned their services from in-person to takeout.
Physical gyms moved to online fitness, etc.
Employers grabbed "PPP money" from the government, making it the first time in the history of their business they accepted money from a source that wasn't from a sale.
In short, they were successful.

Story: The Fat Bulgarian
For the record, this isn't my story.
It's Gary Halbert's story.
Halbert was a (legendary) direct-response marketer & copywriter.
The first time I heard it, I was 25 years old.
It had such a profound effect on me, I immediately wrote it out by hand and saved it.
I'm now 40-years-old.
The lesson of this story has made me many millions of dollars.
For context.
Gary believed: "Motion beats Meditation."
He'd say motion is what separates winners from losers.
He had little respect for guys who couldn't go out and get started without first having all the answers.
He'd call them "losers" who study a problem 'over and over' in fear of doing something rash.
He'd say, "Two or more sissies can never equal one pair of testicles."
Gary would then tell this story.
He'd say there are two guys. One is tall, good-looking, and suave. But he buys "How to Pick Up Girls courses" one after another, and he never leaves the house.
The other guy is short, fat, smelly, bald. Oh, and speaks with a horrendous Bulgarian accent and likes to talk about ant-farms.
This Bulgarian, though, has one thing going for him. He's not affected by rejection and ridicule. He has no issues going out to the bars. No issues approaching attractive women. Sure, he may repulse them, but he keeps trying.
Fast forward 5 years... who are you putting your money on?
The good-looking guy sitting at home with his courses? Or, the short, fat, bald Bulgarian who is out there in the singles bars every night?
My money is on the guy who's out getting rejected!
Here's why:
He goes up to an attractive woman. He attempts to talk to her. She says, "Ewww! You smell!"
The Bulgarian walks away and makes sure he showers before approaching women.
Showered up, he's back at the bar and approaches another woman. "Get away from me Baldie," she says.
What does the clean, but bald Bulgarian do?
He goes and gets some hair transplants. Now he has hair like John Travolta in Grease.
He's back at the bar. New hair and smelling fresh... he goes up to another woman. She makes fun of his clothes.
The Bulgarian goes shopping for new clothes. He realizes "butterfly collars" are not a thing any longer.
He heads back out to the bar.
You know the drill.
He walks up to a woman and begins to talk. He's getting further and further with each woman he talks to as he learns from negative feedback.
He gets to the conversation part. He starts talking about ant-farms & his love for collecting ants.
The woman doesn't want to hear about ants and walks away.
The Bulgarian realizes he shouldn't bring up ant farming. So, he buys a book on how to be a better conversationalist. He learns the questions to ask women.
He heads back out to the bar.
Approaches another woman. He's clean this time. He's got a big quaff of hair. Nice clothes. He's asking her questions she wants to answer. Guess what? He gets the girl.
Why did he get the girl?
Motion.
This was Gary's point, "You have to keep moving forward."
You're only going to learn from people's negative feedback and your adaptation. <--Read that again.
Meanwhile, the good-lucking guy is still at home with his courses, meditating on the "perfect" opening phrase. All these years later, he hasn't even talked to a girl yet.
Don't be the suave, good-looking guy, who never takes action.
